Performance Holographic Liberties, Rory Pilgrim, July 15

For the final weekend Rory Pilgrim creates a performative intervention working with Utrecht performer and singer Daisy Rodrigues. Expanding from Pilgrim’s contribution for Cure Park Software Garden which explores the relationship of the body, disability and technology, Pilgrim works with Rodrigues to explore further ideas relating to the body and gender. Reflecting on her past experiences as a Drag King called Frankie Mooseknuckle in different clubs in Utrecht and Amsterdam, Rodrigues explores the liberation of breaking social pressures based on gender. Working in the Amsterdamse Bos, Pilgrim and Rodrigues play on the forest as an artificial forest and the boundaries between constructed and self identities.
